Sage MAS 90 accounting system support services – If you are on an older version and wish to upgrade we can help you can migrate all of your data to the most recent version of Sage 100. This is a process we have completed for many MAS 90 software clients. Depending on your version and release this process may require a intermediary migration to 4.0 before conversion to the most recent release. The strategy is to define a Sage Software Master Upgrade Project Plan before beginning the MAS accounting Software upgrade.

We also recommend performing a test conversion, getting all necessary custom reports and forms in place and doing a final data conversion once you have all the kinks worked out which takes a bit of time and planning. You should test thru each transaction you actually use to make sure the initial conversion actually brought over everything you expected. This way when you are actually ready to cut over your business only has a small amount of down town and frustration. This process also allows users to navigate the newer versions of Sage 100 to become proficient is the use of the accounting software system.
Parallel System Installation
First we install the new software to begin the parallel test conversion. This way you will be able to continue working in your current system while a test environment is prepared and the initial conversion is completed. This process identifies areas that need to be addresses, data that will not convert so a plan to correct information can be made. Previous Upgrades
Previously the upgrades were in-line with data conversions, not migrations, up till 4.0. When upgrading from a 2.x or 3.x version of MAS 90 their may be need to convert to 3.72 prior to upgrade to 4.0. It may also require a re-build for every file and re-sort before migrating from 3.72. Before you start you need to print off all the reports showing balances and again once you are complete to make sure the balances and data conversion went well. However, you still need to review and test every thing especially if you are a larger, more complex user of this system.

Reports help measure from the start of the upgrade through to the end of the upgrade that key data has successfully been converted. Print and view the balances from the original Sage MAS 90 installation. Print the same reports as of the same date and verify the balances they are the same. This solidifies the process and reduces the risk something has been overlooked.
What you need to include in the plan for Sage MAS 90 Upgrade
- UDT – user defined tables
- UDF’s – user defined fields
- Current 3rd party add-ons
- Forms will need to be recreated
- Custom crystal reports will need to be rewritten
- User security and rolls will need to be redefined
Typically this process takes more than few hours but with the proper planning and a checklist of all the steps that need to be considered can be completed successfully. The more current version of Sage 100 the upgrade process has been made much easier.
Testing for Sage MAS 90 Accounting Upgrade
Remember test, test, test to make sure you are ready to go. While in the test (initial conversion) enter a transaction of each type as you would in the Sage MAS 90 installation. Once you have validated that all processes work and you understand the steps needed to record transactions move to the final conversion. If there are any errors during the testing research may be needed to determine the root cause and resolve the issue. Remember you will need to recreate custom forms and reports, set up user security, install and test all add-ons and integrations.
Final Upgrade Conversion from Sage MAS 90 to Sage 100
Perform a final conversion of your company data once the testing is complete. Also, print the reports again as of the date of the final conversion in the original Sage MAS 90 installation and the updated Sage 100 installation. Compare them again and you should be good to go.
